Projects

Every few years I get the opportunity to work on a project close to my heart: A cause, or an interest of mine, that I can contribute to, after work hours. Each time it turned out to be a great experience; I got to collaborate with wonderful people and learn new things.

KZRadio

New website

KZ radio station is dedicated to alternative and indie music. It was established in 2011, and since then it is operated entirely by volunteers: DJs, producers, editors, and designers. It is funded by donations from listeners and by sponsors. In 2016 they published a call for developers and designers, to help build a new website for the station.

Encouraging girls to study STEM

Volunteer program

I volunteered in two programs designed to encourage high-school girls to consider studying sciences, math, and technology. In these programs the girls are invited to visit Hi-Tech companies, meet the women who work there, and hear from them about their professions and their every day work.

The challenge was to create an accessible website, that the organization can use to communicate with both its members (who are blind or partially sighted) and potential collaborators.

Icon Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival

New website

The festival is held annually in Tel Aviv. It attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is managed entirely by volunteers. I was a member of the website team in 2008 and 2009. We built a website using Drupal.
